he MIC-KEY* J Feeding Tube is designed for people who need feeding directly into their small intestine and prefer a less noticeable external part. This tube, similar to the common MIC-KEY* gastrostomy tube, has different sizes of outer diameters and lengths available. It is for one-time use only.
The MIC* Jejunal (J) Feeding Tube with an ENFit® connector is used for feeding nutrition and medications directly into the small intestine. It is inserted through the stomach and features an internal balloon to keep it in place. This tube is a good choice for patients who cannot get enough nutrition through the stomach, have issues with intestinal movement, are at risk of food entering their airways, or have had certain upper gastrointestinal surgeries. It comes in various sizes suitable for both adults and children and can be inserted using endoscopic, radiologic, surgical methods, or as a replacement for an existing tube.
